It gives me immense pleasure in sharing the news that Government Medical College Haldwani is now a medical institution recognized by the Government of India and Medical Council of India, New Delhi. The degree of M.B.B.S. and MD/MS awarded by H.N.B. Uttarakhand Medical Education University, Dehradun, now recognized all over the world shall open new dimensions of medical knowledge and add feathers in the accomplishments of the institute. I have been given to understand that very soon Post Graduate Courses in Medicine shall be initiated at Government Medical College, Haldwani, which will fulfill the requirement of specialist doctors not only in the state of Uttarakhand but also outside the State.
I am impressed by the progress and achievements of the Government of Medical College, Haldwani and expect the progress at a higher pace in future also. I congratulate the Dean, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of the Medical College and all the medical students for the progress and achievements of the college and wish them good luck and success in all endeavors to be undertaken for the advancement of the medicine and alleviation of human suffering. I hope that the institute shall not leave any stone unturned in serving the cause of humanity.
